Nah, person and human are synonymous in that context, it's just translation fluff anyways, if you cross out the word 'people' in the latter red truth it's more accurate to the original Japanese. This way the word "person" refer to alive human and there is 17 on this island.
There is 19 names with erika and kinzo but red truth of battler only said there is 17 people on this island so it doesn't erika neither kinzo as "person".Įrika can say she is the 18th human on Rokkenjima on Red because she is a corpse (human corpse). Kinzo is also described as dead before the game.
